Chanoch was the son of Yered. The verse says: 'Chanoch walked with G-d, and he was no more, for G-d took him', after 365 years (Bereishis 5:21–24).

His son Metushelach lived 969 years — the longest life in the Torah (5:27). Metushelach was Noach's grandfather (5:25–29). Rashi brings that the Flood was delayed seven days for the mourning of Metushelach (Rashi Bereishis 7:4).
