Reb Chaim's student

Rabbi Boruch Ber was born in 1862 in Slutsk and learned for years under Reb Chaim Brisker [1]. He treated every word of his rebbe as holy and passed it on with great love.

Kamenitz

He led the Knesses Beis Yitzchak yeshiva, first in Slabodka and from 1926 in Kamenitz, drawing students from all of Lithuania and Poland [1]. His novellae are printed in "Birkas Shmuel" [1].

A life of Torah

He learned with such fervour that he forgot everything around him. During the war he fled with the yeshiva to a suburb of Vilna and passed away soon after, in 1939; he is buried in Vilna [1].
