Eli Beer אלי בער

Eli Beer (born September 13, 1973, Jerusalem) is an Israeli social entrepreneur best known as founder of United Hatzalah of Israel, the world's largest fully volunteer EMS organization, providing fast, free first response across Israel. At seven he witnessed a bus bombing near his home, which inspired him; he began volunteering on an ambulance at 15. He began working with Hatzalah Jerusalem in 1992. After a 2002 terror attack in Jerusalem's Beit Yisroel neighborhood, the organization developed the "ambucycle," and it pioneered GPS-based dispatch.
