Fix / add informationDmitry Salita (born 1982 in Odesa, Ukraine) grew up in New York from age nine and became a professional boxer and later a boxing promoter. A practicing Orthodox Jew, he does not fight on the Sabbath or Jewish holidays and keeps kosher, which made him well known in a sport where that is rare.
