WhatsApp Tricks Every Yid Should Know וואטסאפ טריקס וואס יעדער איד דארף וויסן
When you're in 47 groups, you need a little order
Edit / add infoThree useful WhatsApp features straight from WhatsApp's own Help Center: pinning a chat, pinning a message, and disappearing messages.
WhatsApp is the new shul courtyard. That's where you hear who has a simcha, when Mincha is, and who lost a hat at the chasunah. But when you're in 47 groups, it's a mess. A few tricks, from WhatsApp's own help site.
Want the family group always on top? Hold down on the chat, tap the three dots, and "Pin". You can choose how long.
The gabbai sent the zmanim and now they're lost among three hundred mazel tovs? You can pin up to four messages at the top of a chat. It stays 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
Want more privacy, you can turn on disappearing messages. They delete after 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days. For all new chats: Settings, Privacy, Default message timer.
And a few rules from me, not from WhatsApp. One "Gut Shabbos" sticker is nice. Thirty is a nisayon. Before you forward something marked "forwarded many times", ask yourself: is this even true?
And the group that dings at two in the morning? Mute. Right away. Sleep is also a mitzvah.
