The Best Apps for Jewish Life: Kosher Restaurants, Daf Yomi and More די בּעסטע אפס פאר א אידיש לעבן: כשר'ע רעסטאראנטן, דף יומי, און מער

I'm not a big app guy. But two I do keep on my phone.

Kosher Near Me. When you're traveling and don't know where to eat, this is it. It's from YeahThatsKosher and finds kosher restaurants, shops and caterers around the world. Google Play says it's been downloaded over 500,000 times since 2011. You can filter by hechsher, read reviews, and save the places you like. My brother-in-law uses it every time he goes to Florida.

All Daf from the OU. A free Daf Yomi app, out since January 2020 when the new cycle started. There are shiurim for everyone, from a regular baal habayis to a maggid shiur. And the Siyum HaShas is coming, so it's a good time to jump in.

Just one thing. An app is only useful if the phone stays protected. On a kosher phone, ask your filter what you're allowed to open.

And my personal rule: haven't used an app in a month? Delete it. I deleted seven lately. The phone runs faster and so do I.
