Yonatan Razel יונתן רזאל

Yonatan Razel was born in New York and moved to Israel with his family as a young child. From a musical family, he learned piano and cello and studied conducting, later conducting the Israel Chamber Orchestra.

For a time he left music and worked as a shepherd, until an offer to arrange music drew him back. He is a singer, writer, composer and arranger. His setting of "Vehi She'amda" from the Haggadah became one of the most beloved songs in the Jewish world and is sung by many leading singers. He learns in a kollel in Jerusalem and lives in Givat Ze'ev.
