Yitzchak was born to Avraham and Sarah when Avraham was 100 (Bereishis 21:5). At the Akeidah Avraham bound him on the altar on Mount Moriah, and an angel stopped him (ch. 22).

At 40 he married Rivka (25:20), and after prayers the twins Esav and Yaakov were born (25:21–26). He dug wells in Gerar (ch. 26), and in his old age blessed Yaakov (ch. 27).

Yitzchak died at 180 and Esav and Yaakov buried him (35:28–29). Chazal say he instituted Mincha (Berachos 26b).
