Stamford Hill is an area in North London, England, about 9 km northeast of Charing Cross, mostly in the London Borough of Hackney with its northern part in Haringey.

It is known for its Hasidic community, the largest concentration of Orthodox Ashkenazi Jews in Europe. Yiddish is heard on the streets, and the area has shuls, chadorim, yeshivos and kosher shops of nearly every Hasidic court. The name comes from the hill (33 m) and an old ford on the Roman road, today's A10.
