Outremont (Montreal) אוטרעמאנט

Outremont is an affluent residential borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, made up of the former city of Outremont on the Island of Montreal.

Its residents are largely French-speaking, and it is also home to a Hasidic Jewish community. Since the 1950s it has been mostly residential, though streets such as Van Horne, Bernard and Laurier have shops, where Jewish stores, shuls and chadorim sit beside French cafés.
