Levi לוי

Levi was born to Yaakov and Leah (Bereishis 29:34). His sons were Gershon, Kehas and Merari, and he lived 137 years (Shemos 6:16). Moshe, Aharon and Miriam were his great-grandchildren (6:16–20).

After the Golden Calf all of Levi gathered to Moshe: 'Whoever is for Hashem, to me' (32:26). The tribe was chosen to serve in the Mishkan and Beis HaMikdash; they received no portion of land, only 48 cities (Bamidbar 35:7).
