How it works
How does Shuki Pedia work?
Where we take a subject and make it clear, interesting, and different.
Search
Type a name or topic in the search box — in Yiddish or English (for example “Satmar” or “סאטמאר”). You'll get Shuki Pedia's entries and articles, YouTube videos in a side panel that play right on the page, news articles from around the web, and Yiddish and Hebrew Wikipedia.
Encyclopedia and articles
Each entry tells the history, the people and the places, with pictures, videos and sources. At the bottom of each page you'll see what's connected — other dynasties, communities, articles and videos.
Zmanim
The clock icon at the top opens today's zmanim for any city in the world. Choose your city once in Settings and it's remembered.
Community
In the community you can ask a question (an AI answers from our entries, clearly marked), start a discussion, comment under any page, and send in an article. Everything submitted is reviewed by our editors before publishing.
Settings
The gear icon opens settings: English, dark mode, text size, hiding comments and your zmanim city.
