Simchas Beis Hashoeva שמחת בית השואבה
The great celebration of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, with music and dancing late into the night.
Fix / add informationSimchas Beis Hashoeva ("Rejoicing of the Water-Drawing House") is a celebration held during the intermediate days of Sukkos, recalling the joy in the Beis Hamikdash at the water-drawing for the water libation. Today chassidic courts, yeshivos and shuls hold it with live bands and circle dancing, and crowds go from one celebration to the next late into the night.
