Shulem Lemmer שלום לעמער

Shulem Lemmer (born November 6, 1989), known professionally as "Shulem", grew up in Borough Park, Brooklyn, in a Belz Chasidic family; he is a fifth-generation American and the youngest of eight children.

Without formal training, he taught himself vocal technique and learned "on the job". He released an album titled "Shulem" in 2017. He is the first born-and-raised Charedi Jew to sign with a major label, Universal Music Group's classical imprint Decca Gold. He consults with rabbinic advisors, and his contract lets him decline anything that conflicts with his values.
