Mifal HaShas מפעל הש״ס

Mifal HaShas (in full, Mifal HaShas HaKlali B'Heichalei HaTorah) is a learning program founded in 5738 (1977–78) by the Sanzer Rebbe, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam, who saw broad learning and mastery of all of Shas as the basis of proper study. Participants are tested every month on seventy blatt of Gemara with Rashi and Tosafos, and every fourth month on the previous three months. Each unit pairs two tractates, one harder and one easier, with lighter material in Nissan and Tishrei. It began for students in a dedicated "Kollel Shas".
