A kosher phone (in Hebrew "selulari kasher") is a cellular line or handset approved by Israel's Rabbinical Committee for Communications, lacking smartphone features such as browsing, internet apps, camera, radio, music, games and SMS. It is widely used in the Haredi community in Israel and to a lesser extent among the Chardal public, and has become a symbol of the frum home in the digital age.
