Bamba is an Israeli snack of peanut-butter-flavored puffed corn made by Osem in Kiryat Gat. Launched in 1964, it is one of Israel's leading snacks with 25% of the snack market. Osem named it Bamba because it sounded like baby talk. It has no preservatives or coloring, is vitamin-enriched, and is certified kosher by the Badatz of Jerusalem. Corn grits are popped under high pressure, cut into nuggets and air-baked before the peanut butter coating.
