ArtScroll is an imprint of translations, books and commentaries from an Orthodox perspective, published by Mesorah Publications in Rahway, New Jersey.

In 1975 Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz, who ran a graphics studio in New York, wrote an English translation and commentary on Megillas Esther, with an introduction by Rabbi Nosson Scherman, then principal of Yeshiva Karlin Stolin in Boro Park. Its first 20,000 copies sold out in two months. Encouraged by Rabbis Moshe Feinstein, Yaakov Kamenetsky and others, they continued. Rabbi Scherman, born 1935 in Newark, is general editor and is widely considered the father of modern English Torah literature.
