Rabbi Aharon Rokeach was born on December 19, 1880, as the son of Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach. He inherited the leadership of the Belz Hasidic dynasty in 1926 after his father's passing. Known widely for his extraordinary piety, mysticism, and the many miracles attributed to him, he guided the community through the difficult years leading up to World War II.
During the Holocaust, the vast majority of Belz Hasidim in Europe were tragically murdered, but Rabbi Aharon, together with his brother Rabbi Mordechai, managed to escape Europe safely.
After the war, Rabbi Aharon re-established the Belz Hasidic dynasty and rebuilt its institutions, leaving a lasting legacy until his passing on August 18, 1957.
